Position Overview:

Catch Co is looking for a highly motivated and action-oriented sales professional to lead our retail & wholesale channel expansion throughout the US. We want someone who is passionate about the outdoors, and will use that passion to excite customers about Catch Co’s full line of products. You must have excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and be able to build relationships with current and future customers.

Catch Co is the parent company of a suite of branded products in the fishing and outdoor goods space, including the following:

  • Mystery Tackle Box (
  • Biospawn (
  • Gamechanger Lures
  • 10,000 Fish
  • Heavy Metal Tungsten
  • Stickies Hooks
  • Hard Hat Jigs
  • Catch Co Series

You will act as the national sales manager for these brands and future Catch Co brands in development. The most exciting of these will be influencer/pro partnerships that will be announced in the coming months.

What you will do:

The national sales manager is responsible for achieving sales objectives throughout the US and Canada. We are looking for someone who has the proper suite of skills, but also previous relationships with relevant retailers/wholesalers and other high potential channels. This will be the first individual hired by Catch Co to focus exclusively on 3rd party retail sales. Catch Co is primarily an ecommerce player with very strong digital marketing and branding expertise. Our brands already have a tremendous following online and we are looking to translate that following into other channels. For example, Mystery Tackle Box has nearly 700k followers on Facebook, and we will leverage that marketing/brand/social experience to drive forward retail sales.

The national sales manager will generate leads and opportunities to sell Catch Co brands into retail, while also communicating the brand story, presenting products to buyers, understanding competitive trends, and recommending potential business opportunities. It will be highly focused on identifying and meeting with the appropriate buyers at retailers, but will also perform the following functions:

  • Deeply learning Catch Co brands and products to understand key features, benefits, use cases of our products
  • Building an organized retailer coverage plan, and identifying the key individual buyers at each retailer/wholesaler
  • Establishing meaningful relationships with customers across multiple channels
  • Developing and maintaining appropriate sales collateral (e.g., sell sheets and price lists)
  • Preparing sales reports and customer reports
  • Attending sales meetings, training programs and trade shows as needed
  • Managing sales expenses within a budget
  • Work effectively with operations, marketing and customer service departments as needed


  • Outside sales experience selling consumer goods through wholesale/ retail channels
  • Ability to identify key prospects and convert them to clients.
  • Proven track record of bringing business ideas to fruition, improving existing processes, and taking ownership while working collaboratively
  • Consumer products experience preferred but not required
  • Existing relationships with buyers in the outdoor goods space preferred but not required
  • Willingness to travel 30-50%+ of time on the road to customers
